Universal Piper
Universal Piper Quick setup
To start the setup you have to fix the first parameter : the audio configuration.
In the menu, choose Audio.
In the entry section, choose your 'midi in' driver.

In the latency parameter choose one latency supported by your system (but under 10 ms to be confortable enough).

See the latency specific question here in the FAQ.
Then verify you can ear the sofware through the 'test' button.
-If you are a Home Composer and use it in a DAW, you have to choose the Keyboard configuration in the setup panel.
-If you want to use it as a standalone instrument and a practice midi, you have to select in the setup panel which midi practice you use. In that particular configuration, "Universal Piper" compensate every scale difference you have beetween two bagpipes, thus you find yourself playing easily lots of different pipes without changing anything or any fingering!
Note: Different fingering possibilities is a sensor question and will be adressed in the future "Universal Chanter".
Then choose if you want the drones to start automatically when you play a note (Drones Auto start); which means that they will play when a midi note arrives to the software, but will not make a 'real' drone start.
see the FAQ section
Ok you are ready to play Universal Piper !!
